The Department of  Economics and Social Sciences from the Polytechnic University of Valencia is organizing the meeting entitled "International University Terre Citoyenne" to be held on 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 March 2011 at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in Spain.
Convinced that it is possible to create a space for reflection and debate involving citizens from four continents, this meeting will bring together people concerned about the training of new generations.
It will provide a forum for exchanges around the following:

> The role of training in society. Teaching methods.
> Exchange and capitalisation of experiences on training citizens. Construction of training modules
> Construction of the International University Terre Citoyenne. Decision making.

The International University Terre Citoyenne, UITC is a new type of university to:
– The creation of new useful knowledge for action to all actors,
– the creation of a new international exchange space
– Training of citizens, officials and social leaders.
– the creation of events that can generate transformations and changes in vision for participants, presential or virtual.
The meeting will also be an opportunity to learn of the UPV, the chair, "Terre Citoyenne / Fph"which will be formally established during those days. New multimedia resources will be available for exchange at international level with other people interested or involved in the construction of the international university.
